Competitive Ballroom Dance Class

These classes are aimed at adults or kids who have some previous dance and or performance experience. To participate in the competitive dance class you must have reached the bronze level standard in at least three dances. Initially, students in this class will be trained in the five Standard dances as Slow-Waltz, Slow-Fox, Tango, Viennese-Waltz and Quickstep; and the five Latin American dances, Samba, Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba, Paso-Doble and Jive. Students will learn these dances to a high standard technically and how to execute the dances with style and showmanship. Students who complete this class will be given the opportunity to join the Galway Competitive Dance team. Eventually we hope to  send the team to compete in both national, and international dance competition.

All Students who participate in the Competitive Ballroom Dance Class will be expected to show great dedication and commitment to the classes, practice sessions and competitions. If you don't have a partner, we can help you find one. Our Instructors have competed at both national and international competitions and know exactly what it takes to be a competitive dancer. So we will be able to prepare you for all aspects of competitive dancing

Social Dancing

Social dancing is for people who do not wish to compete but still want to be able to dance. It is more relaxing approach to dancing and the main focus is on having fun and learning to dance and socialise with other people. The main goal of social dancing is to have the freedom to dance to music with another dancer no matter where you go.

Irish Country Jive

Irish Country Jive encompasses many dance forms or styles, which are typically danced to Irish country music. Irish Country Jive can be seen in the dance halls all around the country and is a popular dance at most Irish Weddings.

Irish Waltz

This is an another traditional Irish couple dance, which are typically danced to Irish country music. The rhythm is similar to the Viennese waltz, but a bit slower. As with the Irish Country Jive the Irish Waltz is another popular dance at most Irish Weddings.


The fox-trot is a smooth progressive dance characterized by long, continuous flowing movements across the dance floor. It is danced to big band (usually vocal) music, and the feeling is one of elegance and sophistication. The dance itself looks similar to the waltz, although the rhythm is 4/4 instead of ¾ time. Developed in the 1920's, the foxtrot reached its height of popularity in the 1930's and was made famous by Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.


Salsa is a sexy Latin American dance with origins from the Cuban Son (circa 1920s). Come and join us and learn this vibrant, fun filled dance

Party Jive (Disco Jive)

Party or Disco Jive is a freestyle dance which can be used to dance to most popular party songs.

Wedding dances / First Dance

Are you worried about that first dance? Don’t know what to do or where to start? Just come to us and we will take care of everything for you. We have various options, you can join our beginners dance classes, or you can take few private lessons and we can choreograph and teach you your first dance. Just give us a call, and we can help you to find the option that suits you.

Hen Party

Add a little spice to your Hen party celebrations with a sexy salsa or Latin American dance class. We will teach you a fun sassy piece of choreography that will suit the absolute beginner or seasoned dancer. Once you are finished you will be ready to take the dance floor by storm.

Latin Aerobics

Latin Aerobics is a sizzling south of the border workout. Our Latin Dance Aerobics Class combines the excitement of Latin music and movements in a high energy environment. Why don't you join us and have fun while you dance the pounds away. Also this is great way to improve your Latin American dancing, your balance, and rhythm skill. Techniques from the Merengue, Cha-Cha-Cha, Samba & Mambo are just some of the moves you will learn to hot Latin music beats.

Step Aerobics

Step aerobics is a form of aerobic exercise distinguished from other types of aerobic exercise by its use of an elevated platform (the step). The height can be tailored to individual needs by inserting risers under the step.

Pole Aerobics

Pole dance is a form of performing art, a combination of dance and gymnastics. It involves dancing and performing acrobatic tricks with a vertical pole and is an increasingly popular form of fitness and dance. Before the mid 2000s, pole dance mainly took place in strip clubs. Since then, promoters of pole dance fitness competitions have been trying to change peoples’ perception of pole dance and to promote it as a legitimate form of dance and acrobatics. Pole dance in competitions is increasingly performed in a non-erotic way and is combined with a range of dance styles or gymnastics. (more info on the wikipedia)

REGGAETON - The Latin Madnes

This fitness program is build for the Reggaeton music. Using basic latin american steps and one of the ,most popular zumba style.

Belly dancing

Women take up the art of belly dancing for an assortment of different reasons and benefits: -Exercise and dance; - A fun hobby that nurtures self expression, celebration, fantasy and feeling pretty;- Community and sisterhood; - Cultural involvement; Balance of the yin when a career demands a lot of yang energy!; -Physical and psychological therapy for reclaiming self esteem and for healing on many levels; -A professional career which eventually includes performing and teaching.
Interested students should consider their expectations and set personal goals. There are numerous styles and approaches to belly dance that are governed by your personal taste, ambition, talent, physical ability, and dedication to practice.

Hip-Hop/Break Dance

Hip Hop takes many shapes and forms as a dance but the love of the music is the power behind this amazing dance style.
